Scope or no-scope(preferably) Marlins shoot great, and are cast bullet friendly, lately we have had some Marlins come back to the shop due to feeding problems, most can be fixed! On '94s the end of the barrel(breach) is sharp and causes some bullets(cast SWCs) to hang up, can carefully round that out, or use RN or LFNs with out front driving band. On 336s...some newer ones hang up flat noses trying to load into Mag.(a .444 on this site).....a '95 Cowboy gun came back as the machining on the lever was off and it wouldn't lift lifter enough to chamber ctg....this is not to bash marlins as most know I LOVE 'EM.....just some things to be aware of...especially if you are trying to get the most performance out of them with certain bullets.
