Marlin 336/XS sights

I took the plunge & got some XS sights (the rear sight fits in the rear scope base holes), the front sight has a white vertical stripe on it, I had the 336 out earlier today, and I was thinking the open sights/front bead sight was pretty crappy if you are expecting any sort of precision out of the sights, I found I had to go halfsies on my Shoot/n/see with the coarse front bead to get them in there, the tip of the front bead is not really an instinctive point of aim if you know what I mean. They sure look good on there and pretty rugged, I am looking forward to trying them out this coming sunday, I will have more to report.

After my own heart...

I have a 336 RC that is like an extension of my left arm.. yesterday i was shooting popcans at 200 with it, (scoped) and then Coffee mate cans at 50 with the the see thru mounts and iron sights...

I decided to give the Hornady leverevolutions a try and they are a good round.. a ittle flatter at 2oo, but inside that, not much difference than the 170 gr I was shooting befre...

I got them from Brownell's, they are unrestricted parts.

Included in their sight kit is a little black delrin drift, which I thought was pretty nice of them.
