found one, can i swindle it!?
that is the Question.

asking $1350 for it with a vx1 2-7x 33 scope on it, looks a beauty too , open sights and a ? 3/4 barrel tube magazine.... dayym.

So i have offered a trade for my Tikka T3 9.3x62!!!

i really hope he bites at that, as he may think the 375 is just too obsolete here in australia to pursue! im not familiar with his situation yet however my next option will be to see if i can put a deposit on it an pay him off............

worst case - i need to sell the 9.3 ASAP. yet the $1500 would be nice.:bangHead::bangHead:

Fingers crossed this Marlin pulls through, as i could just see it replacing the 9.3x62 for sambar hunting 101%! keeping in mind i have the model 94! a scoped 336 be sweet!

My uncle have hunted bear and moose whit a 375win
The ammo is hard to find but is a great thumper
The price is high but i dont know the market in aussiee
 
They are crazy over priced IMO I'd get a 38-55 made from a re-bored 30-30 on a Marlin.At least brass is available.The 9.3x62 is vastly superior.
 
I wouldn't swap the Tikka for that 375. The 9.3 in a bolt action is far better choice than the lever action 375Winchester. The list why is long.
 
If ye still have your BB 94, you've got the best .375 of the two. I wouldn't go fer the Marlin because it has micro-groove rifling which doesn't work well with cast bullets at speeds beyond 1500 fps. None of my older Marlins liked cast, but shot good with jacketed.

You'd trade a T3 for that WW pc of lever trash gun in a boat anchor chambering that you can't get ammo or brass or bullets for and in a rifle that's hard to scope and a big step down from the the Tikka?

IMO the 375 winnie is more a good thing than a tikka 9.3x62 LOL i weight 65kg on a good day so this may give understanding lol

For me to keep a tikka id have to buy a chassis for it which costs close to $1000 said and done. Not reqlly a problem but then again the 9.3x62 is a cartridge that should be in a wood stocked stalking style rifle with good irons or a low powered scope not a chassis
Where i hunt with center fire rifles most shots at 30 to 50 yards. A long shot is 150 yards in a clear cut
I reload and componets can still be sourced if you put effort in. I dont mind an easy to carry lever gun with irons for bear or deer in the timber

I wouldn't put a chassis on anything except an old truck. :) X2 on the lever gun being an easy carry.
 
Tikkas dont fit me. I actually like chassis rifles for target rifles and stand hunting from fixed areas. I tend to mouch thru the bush as i can only sit for so long under most circumstances. I have a variety of rifles but only one lever gun currently 9422. After loading and shooting a 32sp i sold to a buddy i really enjoyed playing with it. He took his first bear with it last fall. Once i finish a few projects ill add a couple lever guns to my collect. Really liking the the new henry 41mag and case colored lever guns
 
I used to shoot a 21" barreled T/C Contender carbine in 375 Win ended up having it rechambered to a 375JDJ turned it into a 300 yard hunting combo when loaded with 260gr Accubonds @ 2300fps.

I then bought a 14" Contender barrel in 375JDJ load it with 220gr and 225gr Hornady bullets @ 2100fps.

I recently purchased another 21" Contender barrel in 375 Win its ballistics/velocities are almost exactly the same with any bullet weight as my 14" 375JDJ barrel.

The 375 Win is a fun cartridge to hunt with but I consider it a max 200 yard combo in my Contenders with Jacketed flat nose or jacketed spire points and max 150 yards with the heavier 260gr cast bullets available.

fairly impressive IMO.... inst that on the heels of a 95x57??
when winter kicks in ill tote the lever gun, for now i need the scope option for the timber im in incase a stag shows up soon!

fair call regarding your ranges, 150m with the cast will work but not ideal i suppose... drop not much different to many others.

i didnt end up makin a deal with old mate, he wanted the money, i invested a bit too much into the 9.3 for now.
whirlwind continues.
