I was wondering if anyone had 39s with peeps and what was available. Would like them as close to the origonal line of sight as possible. Thank you for your time. Aaron

I think Skinner Sights has an aperture sight for most Marlins. Quality products. Google them. He will advise wrt front sight elevation.

I have a few Marlin 39s with the Williams peep sight. Other than the recent editions of the 39, they are all factory drilled on the side of the receiver for the Williams sight which uses the original front sight. I like to keep the front sight hood on.

I used a Williams on mine also. It worked great, but I recommend using the FP model because sighting in different bullet types is a pain with the 5d. The older Lyman is a really nice peep also.

Lyman 66C, had it on my 39. Solid, well build and good adjustment.

$97.50 + tax/shipping and they will ship direct.

That is what I had on mine in the early 60's. Also had the front aperature sight so I could shoot target competitions however, the 66C will go low enough that your current front sight will work.

I just put a skinner sight on my 39a and using the original front is bang on at 50 yards putting the top of the bead just under the target (gopher) and good at 100 yards covering the target with the bead. Hope this helps. Andy at Skinner is great to deal with and won't gouge you on shipping.

Thank you all for your replies. Do any supporting dealers carry any of these? Mine is from 1978 so it has the side screws so both types work. Thanks again. Aaron
