I've had one for the last 44 years and I wouldn't part with it. One, because it's a very accurate .22, and two, because my dad bought it for me when I was 12 years old.
OEM magazines are hard to come by, especially in Canada, because of the stupid import laws the US has on gun parts.
Here's a link to an aftermarket mag. I've read that they don't work great, but I've never bought one so I can't say first hand.

i have one and it is awsome, nice piece of walnut and a killer trigger.they are a full size gun and all steel,with typycal marlin accuracy.mags are not that hard to find.
I have my father's as he passed away several years ago. My mother actually bought it for him in the 60's as a Christmas present. I can remember him beating each of us (3 boys) during informal target shoots with the Marlin and he seldom missed game with it. Good memories indeed. I shall always have it.
I have often looked at used Model 57's as a .22 mag would also be nice but I don't care for tube mags on a .22.
