Marlin 60 trigger - how to lighten it up?

Subj. Got a new one from S.I.R., shoots great but trigger just horrible... Any recipies to make it more friendly folks?

Thanks but I don't see Model 60 here... I'm reading something wrong?
 
I also have a '60 bought two years ago. Trigger was a POS until I fired 500rds or so. Could be complicated to alter, don't know if it got lighter with use or perhaps I got used to it.
Good/dependable rifle for the money though- its murder on bushytails and running bunnies!
 
tried this rifle yesterday.....very nice shooter, but the trigger is a POS :(, sorry V1....it seems like this rifle has the second level safety :) you pool the trigger and nothing happens :) you check the safety, it`s off.....wow, this trigger is hard :) about 7-8lb :)))))

Thanks, at 400 rnds it does lighten up and I helped it out a lil' with some dry lube spray and polishing the working surface. Now it's muuuuch better, thought not perfect yet ;)
