Ouch, quite high of a price at $2650 (not PRs fault). Really hurts to see such an increase with no added value. I paid $1950 all in two months ago for my Dark Series in 3030. Those tariffs can disappear anytime now!

First of all as already stated, good on Prophet to continue making available and purchasing an option and understandablly the pricing isn’t their doing…..so absolutely zero disrespect to them intended.
If I didn’t already have some levers I’d have probably struggled to not pick one up, but would’ve really struggled trying to sell a nut. At current prices, mayyyyyyybe worth buying to have one (coming from a guy who loves levers), but can’t really see any room to mark up for resale, reshipping, etc.??? Really on the cusp of disregarding price to satisfy an itch vs just too much imo.

Well, if droves of people are willing to pay a ridiculously inflated price for a product, why would dealers ever bring prices back down to planet earth?

Prophet is a business and they’re fantastic. I don’t fault them here at all. They’re offering a product that there is demand for. However, I’ve seen multiple threads where people complain about the over inflated prices on these rifles only for the exact same people to turn around and say “I cracked and bought one”.

Fantastic, then don’t complain in the future when the standard price for a Marlin 45/70 is $2400 and scalpers continue to post them on the EE for 4K +. YMMV.

Its not like msrp is going to go down, so if you want one and dont want to pay $4000, $2400 sureb ooks a lot more attractive

With tariffs going up and down, better to just wait and see. These rifles were ~$1950 retail before tariffs, now $2,400. If you want to give $500 of your cash to the Liberal machine go ahead. Gotta fuel that $500+ billion spending plan somehow.

Or 3rd party import using irunguns.... it would cost around $2,000CAD for the gun and fees unless tariffs applied. Which they didn't on the may import....
