Marlin 795 - Slide release broken

Bought a new Marlin 795, 100 rounds through it and the slide release button just broke so the bolt is permanently locked open. It didn't break off, but rather when you press it, it is extremely loose - something disconnected (or broke inside).

Anyway to fix this myself or should I just bring it in?
 
You should check out a disassembly video on YouTube
follow it along disassembling yours at the same time
maybe you will find the problem and be able to fix it yourself.
