Marlin 917V + scope combo. What scope?

Just wondering if anyone knows what kind of scope comes on the Marlin 917V + scope combo. They say it's a 3x9 x32 but thats about it. Anyone know for sure. Toying with the idea of picking one up.

I have a 917V and I honestly don't think you will be happy with a 3-9xanything. This rifle is great for reaching out to 150-200 even 250 yards, and you just won't be able to see what you are trying to shoot.

I am poor so I got the Tasco Varmint 6-24x42mm for $100. This is a crappy scope but it's got the zoom and it got me out shooting gophers at 200 yards for small amounts of cash.

I havd a bushnell dusk to dawn 6+24 and I was shooting ice cubes at about 50 yrd or so. The zoom is only really good up to x20 zoom. Above that and you have to play around to see through.

4-12 would be minimum I bought the 6-18 banner rather than the 6-24 to me the cross hairs seemed very thick on the 6-24.

What is the planned useage for your HMR
