I have a Tasco 6-18x Varmint that I am trying to mount on this rifle and bought a set of Burris high rings and the objective is still slightly touching the barrel. Any other suggestions? Who makes a higher ring?

le baron has them if you have trouble finding them send me a message i can get them to you.by the way i had the first generation 444t.the one with the high comb and the straight grip. one of the guns i most regret selling, 240 gr nosler hp and a good load of 4198 and i used it on groundhogs.

Is your scope a 40mm or 42mm OB? I checked out LeBarons and seems the highest is "high". I bought a set of Burris high and scope OB still touches the barrel.
I just bought a 444P and haven't got out to the range. Used to have a 444S many years ago and loved it. Makes for a great conversation piece when at the local range :D

Maybe you got sent Medium instead. With my BKL sport utility rings in Medium, I have lots of clearance with my 917VSF, and my Tasco 6-24x42.

What are BKL rings? Is that the name of the company?

Edit : Are those B-Square?

I have the same rifle/scope combo and the boys at WSS set me up with "Lynx By B-Square Scope Mount Ringset" 1" Medium Weaver Pro Ringset-BM. They were $29.99 and the WSS Number 216617.....product number is 8098N.

I am assuming that you are using the included weaver style bases and not the dovetail?
