I just got a Marlin 981T from Wholesale Sports and upon receiving it, enjoyed it. Unlike previous Marlins I've had, though, this was much rougher so I disassembled her, cleaned her up, and relubed her. When I was putting back the stock, I found you should not over tighten the screw near the trigger guard or it will, for some reason, stiffen the action. Anyways, I proceeded to break in the barrel when I noticed that the rear sights are canted a bit to the right. Unfortunately, I've already fired the rifle by then so I can longer return it and I can't send it to the States to get fixed. I tried the "it's canted for a reason" theory and tried aiming it canted and it just became an annoying experience. Anyone know of a fix? Since I hate the Marlin sights, I was thinking of replacing it with a different sight. Anyone know where I could procure third party sights?
Nvm, I solved the problem. Delete this thread if you'd like, mods.
