Marlin 981T opinions

Found a gun to shoot all size 22 rounds S,L,LR a Marlin 981t for $229.00. Anyone own one or know what they shoot like accuracy wise. Description of rifle seems ok blued steel, synthetic, drilled and tapped, swivel studs, tube magazine holds 25 shorts, 19 L, 17LR.

Got the same rifle. Mine shoots about 1.5 inch groups at 50 meters, benched with the iron sights, Winchester Xpert high velocity ammo and 56 year old eyes. I will mount a scope and see what she can really do.

I have had the 981T in .22 with box magazine and currently have the 983T with tube magazine in .22 mag. I have never taken them to the range and benched fired them but the Field accuracy always seemed fine to me.

They are good solid rifles.

My understanding is that plated ammunition should be used due to the micro groove.
