Like i promised i did shoot my 983T with CCI 40 gr, this is a 10 shots group @ 100 metres, this rifle on average will even slightly surpass my CZ 22 mag... JP.

Are you running the stock trigger, or did you go with something like the Rifle Basix trigger group?

Did smooth out the sear with a 600 emeriy cloth, carefully and had it down to 3.5 pounds, those Marlin trigger are quite easy to bring to a good level... JP.

Good to know. Wholesale Sports has the 983T on for $200 whereas the XT-22 MTR is $280. Might be worth just buying the older model.

Heh - You and I have the same taste in rifles. Just bought an XT-22 tube mag from Epps. Just have to wait for it to come in. Have not bought the 22 WMR yet though, as I am kind of weighing my options. Tube mag all the way though. None of those sharp cornered box mags digging into my shoulder.

nice. my cz wmr dose 5shot groups like that but with hornady 30g. glass bedded and trigger at 2.5lbs

Well, that settles it; next rifle is a 983T in .22 Mag...

Going to try and hunt down a wood stock for it, though; hate synthetic... Maybe if I beg Boyd's enough...

I think the rimfire line is less affected by the Marlington union, those Marlin rimfires are still of quality and their accuracy is up there... JP.
