Hi,
I got tired of taking off the rear sight block, anytime I wanted to shoot my rifle with a scope. So I got a set of high rings - UTG to start off with - and was able to get the scope just high enough to clear the rear sight block.

It may be ugly (not to me, although to some people I suppose it is), but it works well.

Hi Neil, That looks OK to me - but I had a scope on an SKS that was high enough to use the irons too. Had to be a 'Chin-weld' instead of a cheek weld. BTW, nice rifle too.

Hi Buck,
I know what you mean. For the iron sights, the cheek weld is just below my cheekbone. For the scope, it's higher - just about at where my jaw joint is. My head is also a bit further back due to the scope's eye relief.

And yeah, it sure is a nice looking little rifle. Thanks!

Cheers,
Neil
