Really? that ridiculous i'm going to pick up my new stainless guide gun tomorrow and i only paid $735 taxes included.

you on crack? they sell for around $650-750, depending on blued/stainless

the XLR is anywhere from $800-900, but it is not a guide gun

Two words: Mail order!

The local sporting goods stores have to realize that while most shooters will pay a small premium in order to buy local an asking price 20%, 30% or even 50% over "normal" retail price will cause us to buy somewhere else.

It sounds like as soon as they leave the mainland for the Island the price goes up $200.

I damn near puked the first time I saw a sporting goods dealer in Quesnel having a "sale" on Stevens 200's. Their "sale" price of $599.00 was nearly double the asking price of most other dealers.

You talking about a certain fishing store that has the gun closet on the side?

I wouldn't buy jack from them. Prices way over inflated. Would've thought they'd have learned by now. Only an idiot would shop there & pay the markup they have on stuff.
