I have a Marlin in 25-20 cal. pump action and octagon barrel.Has Marlin Firearms Co. New Haven.Ct.U.S.A. pat'd Aug.12,1890 Mar.1 92 June 8,92 Nov.29,1904 and Special Smokeless Steel on the barrel. The rifle has a tube feed and it looks like a winchester,also has a stamp by the hammer Marlin no.27-S. The rifle has a cracked butt stock that has two brass bolts through kinda crude.What is this rifle worth????

You have a Marlin mod. 27-S made in the early 1900's. In original condition with 90% plus blueing I think it would be worth 450 - 500 dollars in western Canada. But with the basically ruined buttstock it's probably worth about half that. Still, it's in a cartridge you can still get ammo for if you ask around. They're fun to shoot!
