Looking for values on a couple of marlin levers.... both are jm stamped and are in mint unfired condition.... they both still have their sight hoods and show no signs of wear or even having been loaded....

First is a 1970 100th aanniversary saddle ring carbine in 44 magnum..... it has the small medallion in the ejection side of the buttstock....

Second one, I am unsure of age but likely also from the 70s..... it is a .444 .....

re: two comments about "value".

1. For several decades I have participated in and attended a great many gun shows all across Canada from Vancouver to Halifax and in the USA (Washington and Maine) as well and I know that a gun is worth what someone will pay you for it. This "value" varies greatly from season to season, region to region and country to country, as well as person to person. In my experience the U.S. price guides are next to useless in Canada. The new Gun Digest Book of Modern Gun Values is really the worst. The Blue Book of Gun Values is a bit better but still way off for many Canadian prices.

2. The worst "sellers" are the ones who offer a gun for sale but won't give an asking price, and expect you to give them a free appraisal. They usually have no intention of selling. I refuse to deal with sellers who won't give an initial asking price.

Manitou that is a gorgeous 93. Finish is extraordinary for a gun of that vintage. Almost appears restored but I don't think it is as the screws show some damage and any restoration of that caliber would surely have used new screws.

If there ever was a gun worth the few bucks to join Marlin Collectors to have it researched, I would say this one qualifies. I think it's $35 to join and then someone there will research the ser # for you.

The wood appears original & untouched and if the barrel length (could be special order by the length appearance in photo) and all sights are original ( the fold down front sight would be a special order item or it has been changed).

The value for sure won't be less than what has already been said but could very well be double that if everything checks out as an "as ordered gun" in that condition.
