I just waded through my jar of 0-rings and I found a little on about 1/4" in diameter. Just installed it over the 'red' band on the left side (portside) of the cross bolt safety. That technique sure prevents the safety from being in the red or fire position into switching to SAFE position should a 4 legged threat appear in front of you.

So, to whomever suggested that little O-ring, "Thanks a whole bunch". I like little cheap fixes like that o-ring method.

Now my M1894C is never gonna be in the wrong position for engaging or disengaging the cross bolt safety.

Cheers whoever you are !

For $12 and a postage stamp, you can get one like this:

I've got the imitation set screw replacement part like Amphibious - I like it a lot. The O-ring method should work fine as well, but I think the replacement part is much more visually pleasing, flush on both sides of the receiver.

I just got off the phone with Clyde. You need to send him a cheque for

$9.95 ..... Safty Kit
$6.00 ..... Canadian shipping

All of the above must be in U.S. funds. Obviously include you shipping info.
My check will be going out tomorrow.

Well it seems he's not that hard to get ahold of then;)

OK folks - I've been lead astray here. Clyde emailed me tonight to tell me he doesn't even make these conversion kits for the 39A. Just a heads up for 39A owners that want to get rid of that wart.

Do you know if this is available for the Win 94's as well? My .307 is beautiful except for that ^%#$#* crossbolt safety.

Digging up an oldish thread, but after a few days of trying to call with no luck, does anyone know if these kits can be had for the XLR's, in stainless?

Cheers

I think they are, but not 100%. I think I remember him asking if I wanted stainless or blued.

Did you call after 6:30 PM CST?
