Marlin Levermatic Magazine Tube

I recently bought a Marlin Model 57 Levermatic rimfire. I am having feed problems, which I have now diagnosed to the magazine tube (brass tube with yellow plug on the end to push shells into the chamber). I have also found in a couple hours of searching the net that a replacement tube for this is virtually unobtainable. Does anyone know of a source for these, or if another more generic replacement option would work in place?

I have generic tube that can be cut to length, you can use your existing follower, spring and end cap. PM me if interested.
