I recently got this old Marlin mod 94 in 44/40
This is all I got, what does a Winchester guy do with it?
Come on Marlin guys, tell me, is it really worth anything?
Looks like a project. Is the mag tube available with it?
A number of years back, when my uncle decided to part with some of his 'collection'. He gave me a call to see if there was anything specific I was interested in, being the only other gun nut in the family, before he put them on the market. I picked out the old 1894 Marlin in 44-40.
My uncle asked why, out of what he had available, I would pick the old Marlin? I explained, when we were all at the Moose camp and Dad & my uncle were out on a hunt, my cousin and I used to sneek it out for a little 'informal' target practice. Also, it was the first centerfire rifle I had ever shot.
A sentimental treasure for the most part but it gets used for a little cast bullet off hand shooting these days and that's about it. PM me what you'd like to get out of i yours $ wise.

There has to be parts out there to make that gal all proper again.
Well, I should just give it to you because of all the chuckles I get from your posts, or cause we both live in the same city....
For now I'm gonna just hang on to it, or trade it for the same sort of Winchester,or trade for a shooter Winchester lever and pay some difference, time will tell.
