Marlin Model 39

I recently purchased a Model 39 from Epps. It does not have the inner tube magazine.
Does a Model 39A inner tube fit the older model 39.
I have never owned any of the Marlins and am not sure what has changed on them throughout the different models.
It sounds like the original loads differently from what I have read. I can’t seem to find any how to videos of this older model. It’s the first version 39 with case hardened receiver and octagon barrel.
Any help or guidance from you guys would be greatly appreciated

If yer Marlin have the 20" barrel, then it would be a Mountie model. All the rest have 24" tubes so yes, a 39A mag tube will be the one fer the 24".

It’s the same as the 1895/97 models and the inner tube doesn’t come out completely. It’s almost impossible to lose and yet it is not there
