Woohoo. Awesome weekend here, and this is one of the reasons: Marlin Model 50 came into town! Anyone ever see, or fire one? These are Marlins first semi auto .22. Hard to see the 60/70 pedigree, but this is where it all started...
Fires from an open bolt, tiny n' light. These were made between '31 and '34 with total production being aprox. 5000. Don't go looking for an extractor...there isn't one! Later versions had a manual extraction feature, but this one is too early even for that! I won't call this one "fully functional" quite yet, as the magazine will need some tweaking, but can fire 3 in a row without issues.
Makes for a mighty fine weekend!
