Marlin Model 57 Owners?

I recently picked up a Marlin Model 57 in .22 mag. It's marked "Royal Canadian" on top of the barrel and looks like it has seen very little use. I understand that these are not real common rifles and I was wondering if there were any other CGN'ers out there that have one? I have yet to shoot mine, but I imagine the freakishly-short throw of the lever will take some getting used to.
 
Great rifle , I have a 56 Marlin clip fed that has the same sweet short lever throw, once you use it anyother lever never compares! If you want detailed info, please PM with serial#, Dale in T-Bay
