I have a Marlin 57 that is quite accurate but has a heavy trigger. I get close to an inch at 50 yds with most cheap ammo and 0.65" with Lapua Super Club. The problem with the Super Club is that it will not extract. I have had to remove the spent case with a cleaning rod (every time!). Standard Club works every time as does everything else I tried. The simple solution is not to use Super Club, but it gives the best groups.
I would also like to know how difficult it is to lighten the trigger pull. I don't know what weight the trigger pull is now since my scale doesn't read that high. It shoots great off the bench but the trigger makes it difficult to shoot good groups off arm. I really like the short lever travel.
