MARLIN Model 70HC

There is no magazine limits for 22LR non restricted in the firearm act. Unless it shares the same mag as a pistol, then RCMP says yes.

By grandfathered you mean safe from magazine limits in the future? If so, no.

OK, thanks. I can still use it then, until Justin finds out about it. Then it may get lost in a swamp.

Be careful around any standing water, you never know. lol OkayShooter is spot-on, although the dictators in Ottawa have been wringing their hands about the idea of limiting anything/everything to 5rds. I shudder to think about how many guns that renders useless, or how "permanently altering" them to hold 5 might effectively kill the value of what are often heirloom guns, surplus guns that will never be made again, etc. They'll "never come after hunting guns", but this would neuter some of the oldest hunting guns in circulation like Winchester 94s.

They {still} sell the 25rnd Marlin mags + Drum mags, here in Canada. Pro-Mag..which these ones have worked well, Marlin 795, will fit in the Model 70. However, a specific Model 70 mag wont fit in a 795, as they adapted a groove in the mag well, but, it can be removed.

Just along the 25-round idea, the Savage 25 runs in their rotary 22s, both the A & B tho they're marketed for the As only. I run 'em in both with NO probs. And there are a few other .22 rifles with 25s available. I just have found the B22-FV one of the most accurate of 'em.
