Good day gentlemen. Looking for some help here. I've been tasked with getting this rifle up and running again (for a good friend), The rifle is in amazing shape, all over - except that everything behind the breech, other than the receiver housing, is gone. The previous owner removed all the bits and subsequently lost them. I'm looking for a Marlin 99 "parts gun". Don't care about barrel, or furniture - I just need all the parts inside the receiver. I've put a post in the WTB section of Rim-fires, but had had no hits and about half a dozen "looks". I'm thinking that I would get more eyeballs on my request, if I put my dilemma here.
Thank you for any help you can offer. - fire@will

A 99 is basically part of the Model 60 series. A lot of the Marlin .22s used common parts.
They did evolve over the years, so there are variations. Bolt hold open, etc. Trigger guards changed.
I would suggest you post photos showing exactly what you have - then it would be easier to determine what you need.
You might not need a 99 parts gun, there could be other options.

Thank you for your input. I was wondering about the 60 series rifles. I could post a photo - but all it would show, is a receiver that was "hollowed out" - absolutely nothing behind the breech, except an empty rectangle of open space. If you think it would be beneficial, I'll go and do that now.

This is a photo of the rifle and the empty receiver. I need all of what you don't see, inside the receiver.
Tiriaq - I posted this before I saw your latest post. Do you still want to see the trigger mechanism ?

I see the the trigger guard is there, and the trigger. Is the trigger mechanism complete, including the feed mechanism?
If so, it looks as if you need a complete bolt unit, including cocking handle and recoil spring assembly.
Shouldn't be necessary to buy a parts gun just to get a bolt assembly.

I don't believe there's any feed mechanism in there - just what you see in this photo.
I've spent a few hours, looking for all the innards for this receiver - and had no luck. That's why I thought a parts gun would be a good idea. I could see all the bits I would need in it and how it all fits together and transfer them over to this gun.Trigger assy..jpegBTW - I really appreciate the time you're spending with this issue, for me. Thanks a whole bunch.

You've got the trigger. You don't have the trigger mechanism. It is basically a box formed with two steel sideplates, with the feed mechanism and hammer.
Go to GunPartsCorp website and view the schematics to see what is missing.
