Marlin not extracting

Hey guys so I'm pretty new to this and I figured .22 would be a great place to start my shooting adventure. Went out and bought a Marlin XT-22 at the Cabelas hometown heroes event and was pleased with how it felt and looked. Went and loaded up on a variety of ammo to see what it liked as everyone suggested and saw most people saying how much they loved the CCI mini mags, well for some reason they don't extract well. I got a lot of casings that stuck in the chamber and had to cycle the bolt multiple times for it to grab the casing and a few times even had to pull it out with my finger nail. Just wondering if this is a gun problem or just the ammo and how can I fix it if it's fixable? It worked flawlessly with about 5 other brands and types of .22. Thanks for the help

Mine did the same initially, I gave the chamber a really thorough cleaning and it solved it. I gave it a good soaking with solvent and let it sit, then I scrubbed the crap out of it with a brass brush wrapped with a bit of steel wool. Make sure you patch it out good if you use steel wool, you want to get all the little bits of it out of the chamber. Blow and brush out the action with a small nylon brush, as said it's likely from the wax on the casing building up.

Ya I gave it a good cleaning, lots of solvent and patches and brushing happened before I took it out. I'm taking it out again tomorrow so I'll give it another very good go over. I dont have anything I can soak it in yet. I bring a small cleaning kit with me. So ill give it all a quick scrub after a few go through it and before I use the CCI's again, and inbetween uses. It only has about 175 rounds down the barrel
