Marlin rear sights help?

I just picked up a marlin 336ss(actually ordered it 3 months ago and i finally got here!)
I know how to adjust for hight but how do I adjust the rear sight for windage?
It says to tap on the dovetail but Im not sure exactly what that is as Im still newer to the shooting sports

The dovetail is the grove in the barrel that the rear sight is mounted into.most sights have a windage screw not familiar with the marlin so it may not.if this is the case use a brass dead blow hammer to tap the sight in the direction you want the point of impact to move.move it only a small bit as the small amount is multiplied over the sighting length of the barrel.
