Has anyone done a head to head comparison of the Marlin X series vs the new Mossberg Patriot model? I know the X series is now out of production. I have used an XL7 in 30.06 and it was really quite a good shooter (my son has it now) but I have not had an opportunity to even handle the Patriot.
