Spent some real time with my xt22vr today, thought I'd share a quick range report. I shot 11 different boxes of .22lr, some standard velocity, high velocity, hollow points and some match grade. It shot everything consistently, a couple fte on one box of Winchester. I am very happy so far with the way it shoots.

It grouped well with the bulk Winchester, win wildcats, federal match. It grouped really well with the American eagle high velocity hollow points, cci mini mags & hollow point mini mags, Aguila standard velocity. I sighted it in last trip at 30yrds and I warmed up at that distance. Once I figured out what shot well I set up a target at 50yrd and zeroed it. I was only using the front bag for the most part, best group on the last target measured at 3/4" at 50yrds. I'll try adjusting the trigger pull and work on doing my part to shrink groups next time out.

Here's some pics from today at the 50yrd mark, can't wait to spend some time tightening things up. When I did my part it really shot nicely for a $200 gun.

That's a great start. Things will only get better. Some of those fliers could be ammo related. Those marlins shoot pretty well. They make a walnut version with a tube mag, it's caught my eye more than once.

Thanks for the benefit of the doubt but I'm pretty sure the fliers are more on me than the ammo, lol. I was getting pretty cold by the end when I shot those last 5 five shot groups.

Looking forward to trying to improve upon today's results, I forgot how fun a .22 bolt gun is.

That last target looks great! You've got a flier in 3 of the groups and as OldSavage said, could be ammo related. Dynapoints will do that in my rifle; sometimes you'll put 3 or 4 in a nice .75" hole and the last shot or two is always a flier. I need to shoot the premium stuff to get close to the crazy groups people often post. You must have the .22 bug now for sure!

I bought the stainless tube feed model, it seems to favor the American Eagle as well. If I came across a stainless box mag xt22 I would buy it in a heartbeat
