marlins off centered sights

I tried to buy a couple marlins. 795 and papoose. I've held several of each and everyone has either front or rear sight off center. Some so bad the gun has to be canted 30 degrees

Anyone know what's going on with their quality

It's pretty well known about the QC issues with Marlin after Remington took over

I've been hearing its gotten better lately but apparently not

Still seems hit and miss, sometime hard to see even in the store. I didnt even notice one untill i pit the tech sights on it.

My rear sight is barely in the dovetail to shoot straight, I think they might be sighting them in very roughly at the factory.
Every one I have looked at in stores has had sights all over the place. Makes you wonder how straight the barrels are installed?
