Yes we sent a cease/desist to poly for their use of our logo and intellectual property.

We are not asking for or accepting donations. We feel your money is better spent supporting other existing actions, as discussed on our website here: https://marstar.ca/recent-ban-actions/

This is exactly how we need to respond. Bravo Marstar...we’ve played defence for too long and the stakes are too high now to continue that strategy. I hope others take a similar approach at every opportunity moving forward.
 
Never have I seen a community of diverse folks and competing companies pull together like this. If anything we can all be proud of how our community is handling the latest round of attacks on legal, lawful firearms owners.
 
They say they are operating on a shoe string budget, I’d like to see where they get their money from and how much they get. I suspect that would answer a lot of questions.
 
Good, Nice to hear you arent taking this sitting down. That being said, the article is very biased and they even call this a SLAPP suit to frame Marstar as a major corporation picking on "the little guy"

Like others have commented before. I do not think the Montreal Gazette did enough to differentiate this opinion piece from other news, though the content and title give that away a little. If someone was just skimming through and did not know much about the Canadian firearms community they might have not noticed that this was an opinion piece.
 
What an activist journalist that writer is. Its pathetic weve gotten to this point where almost zero of them are even objective in their writting. Hell even doing a tiny biy of research is beyond most of their capabilities.
