Was browsing Marstars Website and noticed they have New Manufacture Enfield stocks. Not exactly cheap at 425 as set for a No.4 mind you, but an option.

Does not have any metal bits at all. hardest part would be the two caps at the muzzle end.

Anyone have experience with these?

Marstar's does not produce the stocks, they re-sell. With any after market Lee Enfield stock be prepared for a lot of fitting, they are far from a "drop in". The best imop come from England. All the parts are available from vendors on this site or on eBay. Good Luck on your journey, when you are finished you will have a very nice rifle.

They're decent stocks but they will need to be "fitted" They aren't just drop in stocks, such as Boyd's.

If you don't know how to fit a stock to a Lee Enfield, educate yourself before tackling the job.

You can purchase all of the "bits" needed to complete the hardware online from

leeenfieldpartsandmilitaria. com out of the UK, very similar to what you can source the parts here for and they're usually new old stock.

They also supply new manufacture and new old stock wood.

Good people to deal with.

Marstar are good people to deal with as well. Be very careful to mention you want the wood bits to be matching or you will spend a lot of time dying them.

Some fitting is an understatement! Nice stocks, but they need a lot of fitting. If you don’t have the correct scrapers etc it will be a steep learning curve.

Good to know,

Ive got most of the metal bits. was mostly looking at the end caps for the forward HG and the forend.

Thanks for the link Bearhunter. good to have another resource.

Ive had a few parts for a de-sporter project lying around and since its already a bitser I might as well go for the minty-est bitser around. A new stock would go towards that.

Besides the link bearhunter provided I have also bought LE parts from another UK seller

There a few makers of stocks in Canada. Prestige Wood Stocks, Alberta Rifle Stocks and Ross Rifle Restoration are Canadian suppliers. I got an SMLE No 1 Mk 3 set of stocks from Alberta Rifle Stocks. It looks really good, but does require a bit of fitting.

The stocks are made with a replicator. An original is traced and the resulting replica is 1/4 oversized. The problem is, all dimensions are a 1/4 inch oversized. Trying to actually fit and bed an action in one of these sets is a royal pain in the azs. I swear, by the time I was done, I may as well have just carved one myself, there's that much work in them.

I wouldn’t call Boyd’s drop in either

Yup, most need to be bedded but then most of the people who purchase them don't do that and they seem to do the job well.

I've used several stocks from Boyd's and never had an issue with one, other than the tolerances were on the large side, so I always have bedded them for fit.

Never had to take any material out of them, other than if the rifle being put into them had an aftermarket trigger.
