Hey,

I was wondering if anyone has purchased once fired brass from marstar before???

Is there any guarantee its only been fired once? Did some of the cases split first shot?

I would greatly appreciate any comments on personal experiance with this topic, seeing that its substantialy cheaper to purchase the brass this way.

Thanx,

I cannot speak for Marstar, but sometimes the question should be

"Once fired from how many guns?"

When buying used, there is no guarantee that they won't split - I've new brass split on firing.

I bought some 45 but haven't used it yet. It hasn't been cleaned or deprimed yet. With the quantities they sell I doubt they have ever been reloaded. No doubt they do come from a multitude of guns. I don't see why they would be any worse than any of the new cheaper brass minus 1 firing. If you want some quality buy Starline but if you just want to plink buy the once fired and don't worry about it.

ALL of our once fired brass comes from US police and Federal Government ranges.

To the best of my knowledge it is once fired.... We do sell millions per year without complaints.... Besides, have you read our garantee ?

However should you wish to be 100% certain you are getting once fired brass, I'm certain that several of your fellow shooters here would be pleased to take new ammo (you purchase) and fire it off for you, then send you the brass.... ANY volounteers ?

Regards
John

The only problem I had when buying brass from Marstar is sorting it out :jerkit: .
I was finding the odd 30 carbine and others in my 357 mag brass, and 45 colt & 454 casull mixed in with my 44 mag. Not enough to make me go Woo Hoo!!, but enough to make you pay more attention when running it through your press.

Other than that, good brass for the price.

I bought some .45ACP brass from MARSTAR, all was good, I had one cracked case... no big deal... the only annoying thing was some of the winchester brass that had the small primer pockets. Again... no big deal.

I've bought about 5000 45acp, and 2000 9mm brass from Marstar. I have reloaded and shot quite a bit of it. Zero problems. Yes there was the odd .40 cal or 45 GAP mixed in, and also some Amerc crap, but that was really no big deal. I'm very happy with what I've received from Marstar.

Excellent, thanx for the speedy feedback guys.

Thanx John for the mention of the ranges its collected from. I knew there would be no 100% gurantee it wouldnt split, i just wanted to be sure no one bought a 1000 and like 600 split. even it 50 or more split i would be happy.

I bought 10k 223 brass from Marstar when they had a special on. About 25% is LC, about half of which has had the primer crimp chamfered off, so it's likely not once fired. All the other military brass still has the crimp and the commercial looks once fired as well. I found about 100 assorted non-223 cases, 4 nickel-plated 223, and one live 223 round.

I bought 1k of 45 off them afew years back, other than they were a few short on the count,it was eerfectly ok. they sent me another 50 which was more than i was short, no hassle. Id buy again.

I dunno about that, I got some funky spec .45 ACP brass but hey whos complaing.

In the 1K I got the count was good enough (two bags of 500 IIRC) and was good stuff. Only about 50 WinClean small primers that had to go into the garbage. I'd buy again.
