Marstar or Canada Ammo

it was a short term att, i phoned CFO to arrange for a short term att to bring it home from the post office and they even told me it was already with the firearm. My eyes also told me the same thing when i opened the box, so until you order a handgun from Canadaammo, i suggest you stop talking about something you know nothing about.

Really guess you didn't know you don't need a ATT to bring a package home from the post office . at least that's the way it was for the last 8 hand guns I had shipped from dealers . Oh & thanks for informing me on the process of transferring a firearm . I've only been doing it for 30 yrs

Well this is how Canadaammo chooses to do it. Your dealings with other dealers really has zero to do with how CanadaAmmo does it.
Some people say you need a short term att, some people don't, you fall on one side of the spectrum and i guess i fall on the other about the post office issue.
I'm sure you are very experienced after 30 years of firearm ownership and have contributed a lot to this board with regards to firearms, but in this case you are wrong.

Please explain why you wouldn't need an ATT to bring it home from the post office.
I've heard the stories of "I didn't know there was a handgun in that parcel". That doesn't make it legal.

It should all be automatic based on the transfer...another example of our flawed and useless ATT''s...what a waste of money!

Back to the OP, I can't speak for Can-Am, but I ordered a part from marstar last Wednesday(ish) and already received it this morning. So I give Marsar a big thumbs up!

Must have been a transfer notice .

Canada ammo shipped my newly acquired M213 with the invoice, a copy of the transfer notification, and a STATT valid for a month from Disco-Tech Industries to my home address. When dealing with B.C. CFO to arrange my LTATT about a year ago they informed me I MUST HAVE a STATT to p/u at the post office.

Finally got it out to the range today. Worked flawlessly out of the box ( after a good cleaning of course ).

are there special cleaning procedures or they are all explained in the manual?

I just stripped mine down, wiped off the packing grease, cleaned the bore and oiled it. Nothing more than what I would do after a session at the range. Don't worry everything is explained in detail in the manual. Failing that there is lots of info on the threads here.

WOODCHOPPER:
"marstar M1 garands still sitting in containers somewhere, the new VZ's getting clasified as a varient."
I sold off these Garands a LONG, LONG, LONG time ago.... What is the issue here ?
You are correct about the VZs, but once again what has that got to do with day to day business in the firearms trade....??
Maybe I missed something here ?
John

No just saying that there are problems that are unforseen and happen, working with gov employees some of who make crazy judgement calls and then call it policy, has got to drive you crazy. Add on the casual shipping of seacontainers, they show up when the ship does and it has 5 other ports to visit and load and unload at, and those port stevadors are an interesting bunch. Again not someting that you can control.

Your doing a hell of a job going out and trying to get this stuff for us. So when something happens that is beyond your control there is no justification for anyone to crap on you or any of the importers.

It would be easier for you to not bother even trying. But then what would we be buying. :(

I got my M305 from you a year or 2 ago, great deal, then I could'nt resist one of those $99 pistols from CanAm. Now looking for a norinco M4 but I'm not in a rush.

Hell any of the dealers listed here are doing a good job of trying to get stuff in for us you have to know its not easy for them. And its easy to complain when there are problems

So your saying its no use wishing that those M1's are still comming

Ohhhh.....I just got my hopes high when I read the original post that there is a container full of Garanads sitting somewhere....and now John just killed my dream.....no container full of Garands.....John, maybe there really is one forgotten container full of Garands somewhere? I am really itching for one....and Marstar has such good prices :D

I've ordered a norinco 1911 blued sport model and some other odds and ends on separate occasions from Marstar and was pleased every time, it arrived fast and without a hiccup.

Try Marstar the next time you want a Nork.
