Hi guys,

About a week ago I ordered a pistol from Marstar. It is the first time I order from them. Because I need to plan a shooting event with a friend, I hope to know how long it usually takes for them to finish all the documents and send the gun to me.

The guy at Marstar told me it would take about 2 weeks. One week for registrations and one week for shipping. Could any one tell me whether it is true with them?

Locally, registration + short term ATT can be done within 2 days. But I have heard that it could take weeks for Marstar to do the same. This is why I am asking.....

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Terry

Could be. There are a few factors - how quickly Marstar starts the transfer. How quickly the transfer is approved. How quickly the package is turned over to the Post Office after CFC/CFO approval. How quickly Canada Post delivers it. Two weeks from receipt of your order by Marstar until it is in your hands is certainly possible.

I believe they only ship on Wednesdays if i'm not mistaken. Like titriaq said, it all depends how quickly they get the ball rolling. I got mine after 3.5 weeks.

Three weeks and a bit for my restricted purchases. They are slow but it always gets to my home.

registration doesnt take a week, registered an SKS at P&D in under 10 minutes. unless theres a difrence when registering a restricted

Restricted guns transfers also need to go through the CFO. Not a requirement for non-restricted.

still, p&d works magics when it comes to registering guns.

You got that right!
I ordered an XD-45 from P&D on Monday morning (Oct 23), the BC CFO authorized the transfer on the 24th and I picked up my new baby at the post office this afternoon(26th)!!:dancingbanana: Only 3 days including the time for Canada Post to deliver it!
It was a nice surprise, in reality I wasn't expecting to see it until later next week.

P&D as usual was a pleasure to deal with!

Terry,
Hopefully Marstar won't drag their feet too long.

Cheers!
