Marstar vz58 scout mount questions?

I'm considering buying the marstar mount but I want to mount a scout scope on it. So my questions are:

1. Is the eye relief of the mount good for something like the Leupold IER/scout scope?

2. With a EIR scope mounted can the handguard still be modified to remove?

3. There was a thread a while ago that showed modifying the handguard so it can be removed for cleaning of the gas system but I can't find it. Anyone know where it is?
