Martini-Enfield Striker Length

Hello all,

I am looking to know the exact proper protrusion of the firing pin from the breech block face. Someone suggested 0.040in as that is the length of the Lee Enfield's protrusion. Right now my newly repaired pin is at 0.069in and if it's too long, it could punch through the primer? What is the danger of this?

I thought that the enfield max was .050"

My Martini Henry has a very long firing pin but its not ha high pressure round so its not a huge problem.

See, my Martini-Enfield is a high pressure round. I'm not sure exactly what the firing pin length is. Right now it's 0.065 and I will try it on a couple primers, and post pictures (I need a bullet puller first. Being in University sucks, you have no tools!)
