Was perusing the Gunboards Martini forum and there is a thread there about a glut of really poor, supposedly Khyber Pass, Martini fakes coming into the US.
One of the guys got a destructive failure on one, in less than 100 rounds of .303 surplus ammo.
The ghist of it, is that there appears to be someone producing fakes of fakes. Recent production poor grade wallhanger only copies and selling them as actual Khyber Pass made, or actually selling them as originals, in some cases. They have been hitting the sales circuit in the US, as a couple importers have apparently been bringing them in, and a bunch seem to be coming home with servicemen.
The metallurgy is poor, as are the tolerances, and they may be coming to a gunshow near you ...

The deity of your choice may love you (except maybe Cthulu) but he/she/it isn't gonna give you any replacement eyes!
