a dream became reality! I got my moose!

Details:

Moose cow (650 pounds dressed)
6th October 2006, 4:30 pm
Cape Breton Highlands close to Aspy Bay
Guides:Theo and Allan
Rifle: BRNO 21H 7x57, 160gr Nosler Partition, 40gr IMR4895

It was a very exciting hunt. Thanks to Tim for great companionship!

They forced me to put on a pair of LUCKY PANTS!

Awesome rifle, super caliber and a great time will give you memmories to treasure for a long time.
I have to laugh when I see your good luck pants, when I remember back to my first cow moose. I was only 15 and it was my second year hunting, I had nothing for cold weather clothes and I bet everyone was laughing at my "get up" too.

So you were sitting in a treestand? Did you call it in? Were you overloooking a feeding area? Are cows/bulls on draws?

I know that the Cape Breton Highlands has some of the biggest bull moose anywhere in Canada.

Yes, it was close to a feeding area. Haven't seen any extra big moose bulls though.

Does anybody know a company that might be able to tann the hide?
