I was snooping around today for any info on Garand reloads. Came upon a site Maryland Shooters. One poster cautioned the members to remember that Maryland supposedly allows only 5 lb. of powder to be kept in a home(?). That would put a lot of reloaders in a rather tight spot.:stirthepot2:

Canada's rules aren't much better. Allowed up to 20kg of powder if they are 1kg or less containers.

For folks who buy bulk powder ( 4 or 8lb jug), you are only allowed 5kg if the container is bigger than 1kg!

Yes. I keep my 1lb empties, but you should re-mark with proper lot#s. Harder to do with shotgun powders, if you shoot trap/skeet a lot.

If you don't have smaller containers, you are only allowed one 8 lb container.

That’s only if you live in a duplex or an apartment or similar dwelling. In a stand alone house you can have up to 25 kg regardless of container size.

Still ridiculous in attached dwelling. You can have 55 single 1lb containers, but only one 8lb.
