I was thinking about getting some MAS 45 stocks made
The first issue of original stock metal isnt one because I have all of it the buttplates are just standard steel like they used in israel
the main issue is cost of doing the wood, which should be beech , like the israeli did
anyone have input into this
 
You should not limit yourself to beech stocks, as walnut seems to be very common as well. Two of mine have walnut.
Oak was also used, although I don't know in what quantity.
 
walnut stocks were early sporting gun stocks then they went to beech/hardwood for military contract because the eliminated the checkering
i had hundreds of them and the beech stocks were in the majority
