Saturday was a bit rough for me as a few of us received some saddening news that morning. Along with having some back issues, I was still able to make the best of it with the help of some squad mates!

Sunday and Monday went better and I was able to place 2nd and 3rd.

So jealous of the IPSC community you guys have.

I'm confused by one thing though. Aren't IPSC matches supposed to be composed of a ratio of short, medium, and long round count stages? These stages all seem in the 20-34 round count range.

Never seen so many people/cars at TMSA. Main lot, IPSC parking lot, rifle parking lot were full along with any safe area to park. Guys were parking in front of other cars because there was no where left to go. I heard 100+ shooters for the qualifier alone. I chuckled when I seen a wedding at the golf course leaving on Saturday, they must crank up the music to help drone out gunfire for events.

The bugs were a pain in the morning. They didn't bite at all, just flew into you. But when dozens of them do it non stop, it sure is annoying.

Welcome to IPSC! Lol

There is an ongoing misinterpretation of the rules regarding Level II matches and the following rule

1.1.5.1 Level I and Level II matches are not required to comply strictly with the freestyle requirements or
round count limitations (see Section 1.2).

This is meant to allow for slight deviations in round counts on COF's, it is not meant to allow all long courses in a match. But the previous head of our Section determined it, and other interesting interpretations of the rules, to be gold. Hopefully we get a serious change in our BOD and they start to actually apply the rule book as it is written.

All that said, it was a great match up at TMSA and the guys and gals did a great job setting it all up and running it. Amazing how everyone was happy and there was no real stress outside of performance induced.

Those bugs were tasty! I'm not sure how many I ate. lol!

Thanks for posting the videos Mav. I enjoy watching them and learning new things.

Big thanks to the TMSA gang! I had a lot of fun. I learned a lot this weekend, and will enjoy learning so much more going forward.

In the 3rd stage it appears that once the stage starts the timer is then placed in a position of being forward of and to the left of the muzzle due to the movement of the shooter.....

Jimbo14-Not sure I'd describe them as tasty but I did have my share of protein for the day! LOL

MC One Shot- It might appear that way but obviously the RO and the timer were well outside the shooting area.
