exactly. and maybe one day if things change, the pin can be removed and you will not know it was ever there

I have a nonrefurb laminate stock(original from the factory)sks with a # matching mag that was frankinpinned. Considering desirability/$ value, is it better to leave it alone or replace the mag. with a non-matching mag that has the internal limiter in it(which looks much nicer)?
This is how you pin a mag... In the event of the apocolypse and long after the rule of law has ended, lol, that pin comes right off the follower and you now have a zombie killing rifle mag that has not been frankenpinned, lol....

The follower pinned ones tend to have the pin fall off. After having three fail during use my shooters all have welded plug now.
