Well I purchased an SVT with a mis-matched mag over eight months ago and well going through a crate of SVT's I found the rifle that matches that mag!!!
The electro-pencil serial matches at least and even the Crylic letters match - a perfect fit. One of only two rifles from the batch that I have decided to keep. Nothing else filled holes in my collection, but I did trade out a 1941 non-export marked sniper for my own 1941 export marked sniper.
Interesting that everthing was in the original Soviet packing, except for the mags which were wrapped in Toronto news paper?
This is the first time I have heard of an SVT/Mag match. I know someone made a post looking for people to swap mags for matching pairs. This proves that it can be done! Only took about 30+ rifles and 30+ mags to come up with one match.
