The UTG rail came in today...

I had to dremel the business end of the tapco stock to get everything to fit right, but in the end it all worked out.

Next up: vortex hider.

So did you shave off the TOP of the front handgaurd? Am I reading that right?

I would personally throw the flashlight off, or at least move it far forward.
In any case, how does that eotech clone function?

I'm just ITCHING to finally take my 10/22 out. Have you shot your snubby yet?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Tatertot, I'm keeping the flashlight, but I'm going to mount it on the side so I can click it with my thumb.

The optic isn't an Eotech clone per se. It's pretty much the baby eotech without an NV setting or aluminum shroud and it's marketed by Bushnell. I'm not sure what kind of deal Bushnell has with Eotech but in any case it functions exactly like any Eotech, just without the NV.

I removed the plastic top handguard, and had to pretty much carve the tip of the stock in to the same shape as the factory stock with my dremel using a sanding bit. I left a lot of clearance for the clamp so it wouldn't pull the rail in any different directions when I tightened it. The rail also comes with an aluminum insert that effectively replaces the barrel band on the factory stock but I didn't install it as I wanted the barrel to float freely.

I haven't shot the snubby yet. I'm too busy lately, and I wanna wait for my vortex flash hider.

It is cool, but i would have seen what i could modify as to push the handguard right back against the receiver, make it look like a monorail kinda rig and fill that gap(that would be unreal!).

Custom touches man, otherwise it's just another honda civic with a set of rims and a fart can you know what i mean?

Ya is that space for a site? Must be the reason is not one big rail on top

That makes little sense to build them like that then..
When you have that much rail, who is gonna use the factory irons?

These are the voyages of the Ronin Enterprise...

His continuing mission, to seek out and find special Ruger 10/22 parts. ;)

I journey to the far corners of the world(via internet) in search of ultimate tacticoolness for all.
One day i will find the holy grail. The "think it and it appears" production machine

Kinda put it on the backburner,I haven't touched my mill/lathe in over a month now.Too much going on with trying to set up an online gun accessory shop, getting suppliers and raising the money to pay those suppliers.
I'll find time for it once things settle down

Are you talking about the gap for the rear iron sight? It's all one solid piece and that gap is machined out.

I don't like it either and I'm gonna have to figure out a way to fill it in.

In the mean time that's all I've got.
