Evanguy CGN Ultra frequent flyer Rating - 100% 101 0 0 Location Gambier Island B.C. Yesterday at 6:48 PM #2 A small ring is .980" 12tpi. A 71/84 barrel is 1" 12tpi. You need to cut the threads 0.010" deeper on the 71 barrel to fit a small ring Mauser. I did it and turned a groove for a belt and then started using 64mm long 458win mag brass ran though a 43 mauser die.
