I have this mauser 22 which I know nothing about. I searched without much luck. It is all matching numbers and seems to be a copy of a mauser 98 in function. Its bore looks good the finish looks allright possibly redone. It has a crack in the tang. I think I want to sell it, any Info much appreciated!!

To my untrained eye it looks like one of the early German interbellum rimfire rifles designed to familiarize the population with the basic function of their service rifle. Some research in that direction might yield results, best of luck!

I had the exact same rifle, but in almost new condition, it is a single shot German .22 from the 1930's, a Mauser Es340 and is not uncommon. They sell for about $200-250 in VGC. Your one is the basic version, there also was a higher end one with checkering on the stock.
