mauser 98 double trigger on a model 96 swede

I'm getting into a project for fun. I bought a 6.5x55 Swedish mauser and I would like to install a double set trigger on it. I assembled the sear on the action and I understand that OK, but just looking at how the double trigger system sits in the trigger guard, it looks like the trigger "jumps" up to hit the kick off. Is this the way they are supposed to work or do I need to weld, adjust or do something to the kickoff so it is in contact with the trigger?

John, you may need to add material (some use a screw) to get a good contact for the kick off. See the instruction sheet.
