Unfortunately, no, it does not worth more because they're a nazi stamp on it. This is a heavily sporterized ex-military action, and usually it goes between 300.00 $ to 400.00 $, but seen the amount of commercial M/98 Mauser availlable today, I doubt it reaches the upper limit.
It would make a great hunting rifle though. Mauser rifles last forever.
Many of the Mausers were converted to 7.62Nato in the 60's by countries who bought them for their own military. If so it would take .308 ammo, which is a great all around cartridge. The 98 action is still superior today. Even as is it's still better than most modern rifles in my opinion.
I will find out exactly, what the caliber is tomorrow.
What makes them superior? Is it the life span of them? Im an occasional hunter, so I dont shoot much. Wouldnt a modern rifle do me just as well?
It is a K98k action that has been reworked into a sporting rifle. Bolt handle has been altered for the scope, low scope safety added. Sporting stock, of course. Browning recoil pad. Rebarrelled with a commercial barrel. If it is not caliber stamped, you are goping to have to determine exactly what cartridge it takes.

if you have any 308/7.92 rounds a good start would be to insert a bullet into the muzzle, if the 308 drops in try the 8mm. Also a good indication of bore wear
It looks like a sporter barrel on a military action. I wouldn't even try to guess what cartridge/caliber. Best to have a gunsmith check it out. Why does the bottom metal sit so far into the stock???
Curious to know about the optics on it?
It has the hinged scope bases to use the
open sights as well.
Old school charm to say the least....
Looks like a long action?
